Qotd: What's your plan for the weekend? Hi friend Qotd: What's your plan for the weekend?

Hi friends, how's everything going? So many great books are out this month and I can't wait to bag them all 🀠 Have you been reading anything exciting? I'd love to chat. Today, I'm sharing my thoughts on a lovely romance series and the new book is just very sweet and beautiful!❀️

#Beyondthedarkness by @yukthaasraniauthor

Having read the previous book in the Malhotra Series, I now have some idea about the author's impeccable vocabulary and her interesting stories. The Malhotras are rich and hardworking and their stories are complete Bollywood material to start with!

What we have in this book is a rich and handsome single dad and a gorgeous hardworking damsel in distress who is also the executive secretary to her boss! So we also have an office romance where the sparkles start to fly after an official trip to the picturesque Mussoorie. Oh and also have an arrogant, hot-minded bad guy who is obsessed with the lady in question and will go to any extent to make her his.

Manas Malhotra is a lovely character and I've seen him working with his brothers in the previous books and I've always wanted a book for him and his brilliant secretary who literally manages everything for the rich family. Aarya has had a tough upbringing with her alcoholic dad creating debts wherever he goes. These two make a successful pair, for the business. But will they make it up to win their lives?

Cute little Ziva is a ball of energy which I've always enjoyed in Ashrani's books and the chemistry between the pair is just very hot and sweet to handle. The ending had me swooning all over the place and I can't wait to read more about the family.

So, what's your current read?
Qotd: How is your week shaping up? Hi friends, ho Qotd: How is your week shaping up?

Hi friends, how are things at your end? Are you reading anything exciting now? πŸ˜πŸ˜ŽπŸ“–πŸ’ Today I'm talking about a wonderful literature that kept me up with so much emotional and raw sentiment.

My thoughts on #hisvoice❀️ by @rima.pande

β€œHave an Attitude of Gratitude.”-This is a line that truly comes to my mind as a takeaway, a when I think about what I just finished reading aka His Voice by Rima Pande. The story of a man, his struggles with an illness of a terminal nature, yet a thankful approach towards the Almighty, is what constitutes the core essence of this book.

His Voice which is written by his daughter Rima Pande is not at all a book garnering sympathy. Rather it is a book that speaks about adherence, resilience, about the compassion behind caregiving. Agastya Raj, on whose life story this book has been emulated, suffers a stroke which leads him to lose the mobility of his limbs completely to the point that he is completely paralysed neck down. He can see and feel, but cannot express what he is going through. In this scenario, the pain and endurance, the complete life cycle that a person actually experiences in such a contingent life situation has been encapsulated in the form of this narrative which has been given by his daughter Rima Pande.

His Voice is not an ode to pain. Rather it is a musing upon the complete aspect of caregiving. It actually illustrates bit by bit, what actually goes on in the mind of such patients, the trauma they feel, the helplessness and all such aspects. Alongside Rima has also outlined that positivity and the sheer amount of courage, if incorporated can make a difference to the perspective. Indeed, it is the vantage that turns pain to power in such a circumstance and that is exactly what Rima has tried to encapsulate and put across through her narrative.

A book not highlighting pain but hope and positivity, His Voice is a title you must pick up if you want to understand the true significance of resilience and seeing life graciously.

Qotd: What is your favourite genre? Hi peeps, how Qotd: What is your favourite genre?

Hi peeps, how's your week shaping up? Soon it will be the weekend and I'm super excited to start reading some fantastic new books that got released recently. What have you been reading lately?

Have you read #elevatorpitch by @linwoodbarclay ? I'd read and enjoyed the book tremendously and can't wait to read his new book #takeyourbreathaway which has a brilliant plot and a super intriguing cover!! 🧐😱

Plot:

One weekend, while Andrew Mason was on a fishing trip, his wife, Brie, vanished without a trace. Most everyone assumed Andy had got away with murder--it's always the husband, isn't it?--but the police could never build a strong case against him. For a while, Andy hit rock bottom--he drank too much to numb the pain, was abandoned by all his friends save one, nearly lost his business, and became a pariah in the place he once called home.

Now, six years later, Andy has finally put his life back together. He sold the house he once shared with Brie and moved away. Truth to tell, he wasn't sad to hear that the old place was razed and a new house built on the site. He's settled down with a new partner, Jayne, and life is good.

But Andy's peaceful world is about to shatter. One day, a woman shows up at his old address, screaming, "Where's my house? What's happened to my house?" And then, just as suddenly as she appeared, the woman--who bears a striking resemblance to Brie--is gone. The police are notified and old questions--and dark suspicions--resurface.

Could Brie really be alive after all these years? If so, where has she been? It soon becomes clear that Andy's future, and the lives of those closest to him, depends on discovering what the hell is going on. The trick will be whether he can stay alive long enough to unearth the answers.

So, do you like the sound of this? Have you read anything by this author? I'd love to hear from you.

#takeyourbreathaway is now published in all formats.
Qotd: What's your current read? πŸ“–πŸ’ Hi frien Qotd: What's your current read? πŸ“–πŸ’

Hi friends, how's your weekend coming? I'm reading #oneofthegirls by @lucyclarke_author and loving it so far. I'd really loved #thecastaways by the author last year and am very excited for her new book!! Also, I love a plot that involves a trip or a vacation, especially if the locales are beautiful and exotic!! 😍 Love being able to travel to place via books, right?! Thats the best thing, even if the book involves a murder during the trip. πŸ˜ƒπŸ§

So, #oneofthegirls follows a bachelorette trip to exotic Greek Island and ends up in a murder 😱

Here's the plot:

It was supposed to be the perfect weekend away. Six very different women travel to a sun-soaked Greek island for a bachelorette trip, to celebrate Lexi’s upcoming wedding. From the glorious ocean views to the quaint tavernas and whitewashed streets, the vacation seems too good to be true. But dangerous undercurrents run beneath the sunset swims and midnight cocktails – because each of the women is hiding a secret. Someone is determined to make sure that Lexi’s marriage never happens – and that one of them doesn’t leave the island alive.
