Qotd: what's your most anticipated read of the yea Qotd: what's your most anticipated read of the year so far?

Hi peeps, how's it going? I've just a new book today I'm super excited!! Can't wait to talk more about it but before that, I wanted to talk about THIS one I've been hearing SO MANY good things about Sulari Gentill's latest thriller #thewomaninthelibrary and i can see why. The author is a genius in producing unique stories for her readers and this one is her best yet. This book has a story within a story and if you are like me, who loves such intricate, complex storytelling, then you MUST try getting yourself a copy.

Here's the plot:

In every person's story, there is something to hide...

The ornate reading room at the Boston Public Library is quiet, until the tranquility is shattered by a woman's terrified scream. Security guards take charge immediately, instructing everyone inside to stay put until the threat is identified and contained. While they wait for the all-clear, four strangers, who'd happened to sit at the same table, pass the time in conversation and friendships are struck. Each has his or her own reasons for being in the reading room that morning—it just happens that one is a murderer.

😳😳😳

Wowzz did you read that? Pretty interesting isn't it? Would you pick it? If you have read this book, I'd love to hear your thoughts 💭

Happy reading folks. Stay safe 💕

Hey friends, how's your week coming along? I've been reading #theliesitell by Julie Clark and very much enjoying it so far. Meanwhile, I've this fantastic new book by @robinmorganbentley to recommend since I've this one top on my TBR. I've been very impressed with the author's previous work #thewreckage and cannot wait to read #theguesthouse which comes out in September. Here's the plot for you guys!

📖📖📖📖
How far would you go to protect the ones you love?

Jamie and Victoria are off for a last quick vacation before the arrival of their first baby. The remote country guesthouse Victoria chose seems like the perfect retreat—miles away from the distractions of work and their regular life. And the older couple that run the establishment, Barry and Fiona, are more than accommodating.

But when Jamie and Victoria awake on their first morning, they find the house deserted. Barry and Fiona are nowhere to be seen. All the doors are locked. And their cell phones and car keys have disappeared.

Even though it's a few weeks before the baby's due date, Victoria feels the contractions starting. The baby is coming... and there's no way out.

Qotd: Does it frustrate you when a book disappoint Qotd: Does it frustrate you when a book disappoints your expectations?

Hi peeps, how's your week shaping up? Did you have a good weekend? I'd been reading this new book from Kate White and here's my thoughts.

Genre: Mystery/thriller
Sub genre: Domestic suspense
Rating: ⭐⭐/5
Thoughts 💭
Expected high, delivered low. Picked this after reading the plot and it was such a drag and no real suspense involved.

Kate White is a really good author, I must say. Although the story behind this book doesn't have the necessary layers to make it a good suspense thriller. All we have is a woman who remarries after losing her husband to a stabbing and just as she begins to settle into her new life, the open investigation comes knocking at her door and everything is rattled.

But that's all we have got. There's no character development, no depth to any event and everything just looks heavily made up and unbelievable. You might thing there will be an intense police investigation when a detective comes knocking on the door with questions about the past, but nothing ever happens and all we have are speculations from Emma and some of them sound ridiculously stupid.

The Second Husband is nicely written with short and pacy chapters that was the one thing that kept me going and hoping for an actual twist to knock me off until the very last chapter, unfortunately none such came to surprise me. The ending is an abrupt one, although there might be more changes to the finished version of the book, and I'd read an advanced reader version of the book.

Have you read this book? What are your thoughts? Also, what are you reading now?

Qotd: What's your weekend plan? 🤩📚💭 Hi f Qotd: What's your weekend plan? 🤩📚💭

Hi friends, how's your Sunday coming along? I'm taking the kid to the mall today and very excited to have some fun time. Plus, I've also picked up this newest thriller from @julieclarkauthor who's also the author of #thelastflight aka #theflight that was a huge hit last year and I absolutely loved the page-turner. I'm very much looking forward to reading #theliesitell because it has some strong female characters and I love multiple POVs and Clark has become an auto read author for me. Here is the plot for you guys:

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Last Flight comes a twisted con-woman thriller about two women out for revenge―or is it justice?

Two women. Many aliases.

Meg Williams. Maggie Littleton. Melody Wilde. Different names for the same person, depending on the town, depending on the job. She's a con artist who erases herself to become whoever you need her to be―a college student. A life coach. A real estate agent. Nothing about her is real. She slides alongside you and tells you exactly what you need to hear, and by the time she's done, you've likely lost everything.

Kat Roberts has been waiting ten years for the woman who upended her life to return. And now that she has, Kat is determined to be the one to expose her. But as the two women grow closer, Kat's long-held assumptions begin to crumble, leaving Kat to wonder who Meg's true target is.

📚📚📚📚

So, how does it sound to you? I'm starting this today and can't wait to see how it goes. #theliesitell is now out and available. Happy reading guys!!! 😀📚❤️🤗
