Hey Guys,

This is a binge read, for a perfect weekend. Here is an exclusive review.

Plot:

Someone is always watching…

Derek Flint is a loner. He lives with his mother and spends his evenings watching his clients on the CCTV cameras he has installed inside their homes. He likes their companionship—even if it’s through a screen.

When a series of crimes hits Derek’s neighbourhood, DC Beth Mayes begins to suspect he’s involved. How does he know so much about the victims’ lives? Why won’t he let anyone into his office? And what is his mother hiding in that strange, lonely house?

As the crimes become more violent, Beth must race against the clock to find out who is behind the attacks. Will she uncover the truth in time? And is Derek more dangerous than even she has guessed?

Author Bio

This is Lisa Stone’s second crime novel. She previously took the non-fiction world by storm with her bestselling books on fostering, written under the pseudonym Cathy Glass.

Review:

The book contains a lot of technical information about Internet Hacking, CCTV cameras, their operation, and I thought it might dominate the story and minimize the suspense. Also, it’s totally out of league to read something so technical. But no, the plot is easily understandable, and fast paced that it was easy binge read for me.

I found the story, (even though there’s a lot) to be informative. It’s more of an awareness and warning to people like us, to be more careful with the ever growing Internet! Anybody who has an Internet connection, could hack these days, and the thought of it brings me chills.
I’d actually like to thank the author for choosing such a complicated topic, and instead of just using it commercially, she had given us a message, more of an awareness.
Thanks to Avon and HarperCollins for this copy. All Opinions are my own and unbiased.
Happy Reading!
