Tabitha is a waitress working in a local bar in New Hampshire when she sees her ex boyfriend Connor again in a shiny sports car after several years. Everything about him screams money and he’s nothing but incredibly sexy. Always had been since Tabitha and him were dating back when they were 17! She and the whole world knows very well that he’s married to the rich and famous Nina Levitt and pretty much loaded now. So, why is Connor back in town now? Has he come to see her? Why after all these days?
Meanwhile Nina is not just a rich woman, but a brilliant entrepreneur who knows exactly what she is doing. When she married Connor, she made a prenup just to keep her handsome husband at her side and not get blindsided by his sexiness. Now she is scared. Scared something will happen to her. Over the past few years, she has made a lot of acquaintances who are very keen on getting her riches, both family and friends.
When she is killed, it’s pretty clear that many number of people had motive but who really did it? Or was it a suicide really?
Wowzie for such a brilliant plot! Michele Campbell is one author I would pick blindly without even reading the Blurb. Which is exactly what I did before requesting for an ARC and I’m utterly appalled by the awesomeness of this book! Written from the alternating perspectives of both the Nina and Tabitha, Michele distinguishes two completely different personalities for the women. Casting Connor as the Alpha male, the story circles glamorously around the trio creating a spine chilling, sexy thriller! Michele has the knack to play within a domestic setup, making sure you never see your husband/wife/sister the same way again.
Highly recommended for the fans of Michele Campbell’s thrillers. This is not my first book of hers and I can’t wait to read her next! Many thanks to St Martin’s Publishers for the digital ARC. All options are solely mine.
