So excited to be sharing my thoughts on this cute little book that I’ve had the pleasure to read last week. Got rid of my raging pregnancy hormones for a while and what a fun and relaxed read it was. Also made me feel so HAWT. For which I’m blaming Mia, although she did warn me about the steamy sequences.

I f**king LOVED this book! YES It looks cute and made me feel SO good. But there’s a deeper layer to this romantic comedy that Mia Sosa has beautifully penned in with cultural and moral values, that I can’t even begin to praise! Read along the blurb and pre-order yourself a copy. You’re doing yourself a HUGE favor, trust me!!

About the Book:

A wedding planner left at the altar.

Yeah, the irony isn’t lost on Carolina Santos, either. But despite that embarrassing blip from her past, Lina’s managed to make other people’s dreams come true as a top-tier wedding coordinator in DC. After impressing an influential guest, she’s offered an opportunity that could change her life. But there’s just one hitch…she has to collaborate with the best (make that worst) man from her own failed nuptials.

Tired of living in his older brother’s shadow, marketing expert Max Hartley is determined to make his mark with a coveted hotel client looking to expand its brand. But then he learns he’ll be working with his brother’s whip-smart, stunning—absolutely off-limits—ex-fiancée. And she loathes him.

If they can survive the next few weeks and nail their presentation without killing each other, they’ll both come out ahead. Except Max has been public enemy number one ever since he encouraged his brother to jilt the bride, and Lina’s ready to dish out a little payback of her own.

Soon they discover animosity may not be the only emotion creating sparks between them and the more time they spend together, the more Lina realizes she may be wrong about Max. But this star-crossed couple can never be anything other than temporary playmates because Lina isn’t interested in falling in love and Max refuses to play runner-up to his brother ever again.

Swathi’s Thoughts:

So what’s the story?

Caroline AKA Lina, the stunning, talented Brazilian American wedding planner is left standing at her own wedding 3 years ago..

Did she reel from it? Hell yeah! It was easy to get her mind off Andrew, her ex-fiance but not so much when his brother handsome and arrogant Max enters the room.

When Lina is offered with a dream job to become a wedding planner in a top rating Hotel, her only problem is that she has to manage the task of ‘getting the job’ by co-working with her ex-fiancé’s hot brother Max! Imagine the friction between the two hotties, not just because they’re both hot for each other. Lina thinks Max is the reason Andrew left her in the altar and she cannot, would not let her guard down again. Max on the other hand has a lot to prove. He has to prove that he can work independently without his level-headed big brother’s shadow and this is his opportunity and he will use it wise. He will use all his talents to create a perfect pitch for Lina and get the job as the sole Marketing Manager for this huge project. At least that’s the aim.

And then there is this irresistible tension. Quarrel as much you want, but the lust ain’t going anywhere! Wait for the steam to catch you up and from there, it’s fuming hot to breathe. Mia certainly knows her genre and employs adequate creativity to make the ‘flirting’ and ‘sexting’ more interesting!!

Max is such an adorable character. He was as a yummy surprise, when I thought he was going to come out as an arrogant, rich womaniser.  And I loved Lina’s family, her culture and the yummy food! Totally fun and engaging to read in a single sitting, I highly recommend it to everyone looking for a good time with a book!

Thank you Mia for sending me this beauty of a book. I’m so grateful that you wrote it. Best of luck to hit the top of the charts pretty soon! All opinions are solely mine and are no way biased.
