An explosive yearning that can’t be denied
Disturbing visions from an ancient past
A mysterious stranger that somehow feels familiar
On the night of her fiftieth birthday, the comfortable ride of Toscana’s life takes an alarming plunge. Haunted by seductive visions, she tries to push aside the desire and focus on the husband who adores her. Then she falls for Flynn, a younger man with an eye for adventure and a heart full of romance, who leaves her doubting everything she’s believed about love and passion.
In Atlanta, Rome, and the lush scenery of Tuscany, Toscana searches for answers to the mysteries of her life while she faces her biggest question. If she listens to her feelings will she lose everything she holds dear, or does her heart hold the key to love and joy?

Nanette Littlestone discovered the joys of writing in the summer of 1994. She loves to explore relationships and is unceasingly curious about why people do what they do. The themes of her stories focus on love (what we always strive for) and forgiveness (what we always need). The Sacred Flame is her first novel. When she’s not working on her next book, she loves to dream of living by the beach, read, go for walks, watch romantic movies, cook gourmet food, and savor dark chocolate. Swathi’s Review:
Toscana Blake is a chocolate lover and an amazing cook. She is determined to run her own shop but she is drifting between sanity and passion. She gets help from her loving husband, but that isn’t enough. The shop is failing and she has to something to brighten the business.
When she sees the Chocolate Carnival in Italy, she decides to attend and charm some Italian bakers to partner with her so that she could sell her brownies in Italy, even though it means exposing her secret recipes! That’s where she meets this History professor slash tourist Guide Flynn and she finds herself stunned with the flashing memories of an unknown Roman couple fighting to win their love. Why do they come to them, she doesn’t know! She takes the help of this pleasant stranger to inspect her weird dreams which feels so much than just a dream!
What a beautiful journey it was! Bella Toscana is a plenty more than a regular love story. It’s a beautiful prose connecting the untold love stories and culture of Roman history. Written so gorgeously by Nanette Littlestone, this story definitely teleports the readers to some exotic locations of Rome, Italy and Tuscany through her very intricate details.
I love the characters. Even though the story revolves around Toscana, the characters that surround and help her make you fall in love with them! I wish I had a friend like Charlotte who is honest, brutal, charming and at my side all through the life! Zia Gianna, Suzanne the psychiatrist are some very interesting characters whom I like to know more about! Lastly, I would love to know the recipes for brownies please!
I received a complimentary copy from the author but my opinions remain unbiased and honest!
