Swathi’s Thoughts
What a delightful read! Witty, humorous, heartfelt and utterly entertaining characters and a wonder start to a new series!
The Thursday Murder Club is an elite group of elderly people who live in a beautiful village for elders and these brilliant group of club spend their hours working on unsolved cases, buried deep, and unwanted by the police. Mostly it’s all a hobby, a pass time even to kill their evil idle hours. Until one day Tony Curran, a thug who is a possible rival to their community owner Ian Ventham is killed in his own house and suddenly the Club has a live case to solve!
So begins their own investigation, under the prying eyes and brains of these members, nothing could ever escape, certainly not the truth. Get ready for a steady dose of humor, knowledge and so many interesting stories, dropped here and there in a delightful engaging way in this wonderfully written lyrical suspense thriller.
Some books belong to more than just a single genre. The Thursday Murder Club is a wonderful book, it’s a cozy thriller, filled with wit and humor. A strong premise with so many memorable characters to make the readers fall in love with.
I’m pretty sure every single reader is about to share a new found respect for elderly people. Never underestimate the age and experience of the people who’d seen the world for more years than you. What a great idea for a novel.
I was on the Bookstagram tour for the Book, invited by the lovely people at Viking Books UK to whom I am eternally grateful.
